Message from the Executive VP of W.M.F.

Executive VP of W.M.F.With a rich heritage and the place few Martial Arts were born, SE Asia had brought to the world one of the finest, most exquisite, popular and effective Martial Art.

Muay has existed for more than a thousand years under different names, some of the earliest being recorded in Thailand as Muay, yet its historic and cultural implications are as important today as they were when it first began.

Even to date, the sport of Muay and the events around it continues to instill much pride and honor in the people in Asia and more popularly and well known the Thai population.

Like everyone know by now, Sports are a powerful tool to draw together people from around the world, from all walks of life, of all faiths encouraging a spirit of understanding and fair play that goes beyond winning or losing.

Athletes are widely recognized for their dignity, courage, as well as their strengths and technical skills.

The World Muay Federation – W.M.F. had always abided by this values making it a working attitude, although always following the Olympic spirit of bringing sports together, respecting the heritage and culture, education, friendship and peace.

As history always shown us, and as I also strongly believe, sport values have always had a transformative power for all, in particular for our younger generations.

I would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragements over the years, and on behalf of all our members and followers of this great Sport let me thank you again.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
MRS. Gabriela Murg
Executive VP of Legal and International Affairs of World Muay Federation (W.M.F.)
